Swedish Massage |

Swedish Massage is a combination of techniques that are designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, using long, broad strokes and short, specific strokes. Swedish Massage shortens recovery time from muscle strain by flushing toxins and bringing oxygenated blood to the areas being massaged without taxing the heart. It stretches ligaments and tendons, stimulates the skin and nervous system, and soothes nerves simultaneously. Swedish Massage reduces emotional and physical stress and is often suggested for stress management programs.

Shiatsu |

Shiatsu combines the ancient healing art of Acupuncture with traditional Japanese Massage techniques.  The emphasis is on energy, rather than anatomy.  Chi, or your life energy, ties together all bodily structures and functions so they can operate as a single entity. Deep acupressure (manual pressure to specific points) is used to stimulate points on the meridians to alleviate any imbalances that may exist in the body.  The combination of points and techniques used will depend on the condition after initial intake and diagnosis. Shiatsu balances body, mind and spirit through rhythmic patterns, leaving the client in a perfectly balanced and relaxed state.

Reflexology |

Reflexology is a technique that focuses on the soles of the feet and the palms of the hands.  The hands and feet are divided into sections that correspond to the different body organs.  Massaging these areas can stimulate, strengthen and relax the organs to promote the healing process. It is an especially effective technique in reducing stress and tension.  Organs in disharmony, and post-surgical conditions greatly benefit from this technique.

CranioSacral Therapy |

CranioSacral Therapy is technique using gentle pressure on the bones of the head, spine, and pelvis increasing the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, relieving a myriad of symptoms in the body.

Medical Massage |

Medical Massage is a technique designed to speed recovery time from injuries, trauma and other conditions medically related. Speak to the practitioner about your particular condition for an individualized session that meets your diagnosis and requirements.

Hati Hati |

Rapa Nui Massage, or Hati Hati, is an ancient Rapa Nui/South Pacific Islands/Indonesian art of massage by which the body, during treatment, naturally restructures and adjusts itself to proper alignment. Please plan to rest and drink plenty of water after this treatment.

Hot Stone Treatment |

Massage using hot stones is an ancient technique used for relaxation, warming the muscles, which open the energetic meridians and circulatory system. Hot stones can be incorporated into any other massage styles.

Reiki/Energetic Healing |

Reiki, or “laying on of hands” healing, is an ancient Japanese technique for stress reduction administered by laying on of hands, or transferring Universal Energy with the recipient’s highest good being prayed for.  It is a spiritually guided life force energy treatment that leaves the recipient relaxed with feelings of peace and well-being.  This treatment promotes healing and recovery by using a gentle hands on style.

Structural Integration |

Structural Integration is a technique that focuses on the fascia, or connective tissue, that surrounds the muscles, bones and organs of the body.  This modality allows the body to realign by lengthening and repositioning the fascia, allowing the muscles to move more efficiently, returning the body to its structurally optimal position.

Lymphatic Drainage |

Lymphatic Drainage massage stimulates the lymph system with extremely light, circular pumping movements. The lymph system doesn’t have it’s own pumping system, so toxins are moved from lymph system tissue by using this hands-on technique. Helps to drain puffy, swollen tissues, supporting the immune system and eliminating toxins.

Lomi Lomi |

Lomi Lomi is a Polynesian rhythmic, spiritual massage that combines patterns of three in sets of three and silent prayer by the practitioner.  Lomi Lomi targets all the muscles of the body, relaxing the body and changing brain waves to completely relax the body and mind while strengthening and balancing the spirit. Lomi Lomi incorporates Nerve Tracing, which is used to erase the brain’s memory of pain in an area.

Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy |

Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy is a technique used for the relief of soft-tissue pain and dysfunction, also known as a Neuromuscular Technique.  Myofascial trigger points represent small areas of tightness within muscles, creating tight bands and "knots" or tiny bumps from the contracted muscle fibers. Nerve impulses to these muscle fibers will not "shut off".  The myofascial trigger points require manual intervention to facilitate release.

*All trigger points cause discomfort when pressed; however, "active" trigger points frequently refer pain to other areas of the body.  Pressure to an active trigger point will typically refer the sensation or symptoms to a distinct target area.
